License and updates
Activate, restore, manage, or deactivate a license and install Shotomatic updates.

Open Settings > License to review the current entitlement and device activation.
Activate a license
- Select Activate license.
- Enter the license key.
- Wait for Shotomatic to verify and activate this Mac.
The active view can show Lifetime or Subscription, subscription cadence, renewal or end date, licensed-to information, activation usage, current device, masked license key, and masked Device ID.
Reveal or copy a key or Device ID only when needed for support. Keep screenshots of this page private.
Manage or move an activation
- Manage my license opens Lemon Squeezy My Orders.
- Deactivate this device releases the current Mac before moving an activation.
Offline and verification states
A recently verified entitlement can continue from the local cache during a temporary network problem. The License page identifies an offline cached state.
If the entitlement needs verification, select Restore license. Use Manage my license when the key, order, or activation count must be fixed first.
Check for updates
Use the macOS app menu:
- Preferences > Check for Updates Automatically toggles automatic checks.
- Check for Updates… starts a manual check.
- Install Pending Update… installs a downloaded update.
When an update is ready, the app shows Relaunch. During a capture, choose Keep capturing to postpone the update or relaunch only when it is safe to stop the run.
