Automatic Window Focus for Window Capture

Selected windows are now brought to the front automatically before capture starts.

Window capture selection with an autofocus hint

Automatic Window Focus for Window Capture

Window capture now does a quick, automatic focus pass so the window you picked is front and center when the countdown ends.

What's Improved

  • Auto-focus before capture for the selected app window
  • Clearer UI hint in the window picker so you know it will focus for you
  • Graceful fallback if the OS blocks focusing (you can click the window manually)

How It Works

When you start a window capture, Shotomatic attempts to bring the selected window to the foreground right before the first screenshot. If the focus helper cannot run (for example, missing permissions), you will see a brief warning and can click the window manually to continue.

Why It Matters

Capturing the wrong or obscured window wastes time. Auto-focus reduces failed captures and keeps your workflow smooth, especially when you are grabbing multiple screenshots in a row.
