Stitch Screenshots
Combine screenshots into one long image. Overlapping parts are found and trimmed automatically, and everything runs in your browser, so your images are never uploaded.
How to stitch screenshots into one image
- Add your screenshots in the order you took them. Drag a card if one is out of place.
- Choose Top to bottom for a scrolling page, or Left to right for a wide table or timeline.
- Leave Detect overlap on. The tool finds the rows each capture shares with the one before, trims them, and keeps a sticky header or tab bar only once.
- Check the seams in the preview. If one looks off, enter a different overlap in pixels.
- Download a PNG, or a PDF if the stitched image is very long.
How does screenshot stitching work?
A scrolling screenshot is a series of captures of one long page, each scrolled a little further than the last. Screenshot stitching lines them up where they overlap and joins them into one tall image.
This tool compares the captures row by row. It cuts the rows a capture repeats from the one before, keeps fixed bars such as a status bar or tab bar only once, and scales every capture to the narrowest width so nothing is enlarged. When two captures share no rows, they're placed end to end. A capture added twice is left out.
For a clean join, keep 20 to 30 percent of each capture in common, and don't change the window size or zoom between shots. If the page can be saved in one go, a full-page screenshot from your browser skips stitching entirely.

Frequently asked questions
Is this screenshot stitcher free?
Yes. There's no signup and no watermark. You can stitch up to 80 screenshots at a time.
Are my screenshots uploaded to a server?
No. Overlap detection and stitching run in your browser, so your images stay on your device.
How do I combine screenshots into one image?
Add the screenshots in order, choose a direction, and download the PNG. If they don't overlap, choose Place end to end to stack them as they are, without trimming.
Why doesn't the overlap line up?
The window size or zoom may have changed between shots, the page may have moved or loaded new content, or the shared area may be blank. Enter the overlap for that seam in pixels, or retake the captures with more in common.
Can I stitch screenshots side by side?
Yes. Choose Left to right. Every capture is scaled to the same height, then joined horizontally where they overlap.
Why is the PNG smaller than expected, or the PDF split into pages?
Browsers limit how large an image they can create. When a stitch passes that limit, the PNG is scaled down and the tool shows its final size. The PDF keeps full resolution and splits the image into pages, because PDF viewers can't open a page longer than 200 inches.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Pick the captures from your photos to join scrolling screenshots taken on an iPhone or Android phone. Phones have less memory, so very long stitches are scaled down sooner than on a computer.
Taking each capture by hand?
Shotomatic takes screenshot series on your Mac and presses a key or clicks between shots, so you can step through long pages hands-free.
