More Reliable License Checks on Managed Networks
Shotomatic now follows your Mac's proxy settings for license checks and retries brief connection failures before asking you to try again.
License activation and restoration now work more reliably on Macs connected through a company proxy, VPN, or filtered network. Shotomatic's license entitlement check now uses the app's native network stack, so it follows the same proxy configuration as the rest of the app.
What's fixed
- License entitlement checks now follow macOS and Electron proxy settings.
- Brief connection failures and temporary server errors are retried automatically before the check fails.
- Each attempt has a time limit, so an unreachable service cannot leave the app waiting indefinitely.
When your network blocks Shotomatic
This update fixes cases where a valid license worked on a hotspot but failed on a managed network because the app did not use the configured proxy. It does not bypass a firewall that explicitly blocks Shotomatic's license service. In that case, your IT team will still need to allow access.
Update to Shotomatic 1.9.2 to get the fix.
