Shotomatic Screenshot Annotation Tool marking up a screenshot with arrows and numbered steps

We shipped a new free Screenshot Annotation Tool in Shotomatic. Open a screenshot, mark it up with arrows, boxes, text, and numbered steps, and save the result. Everything runs in your browser, so the image stays on your device.

What's New

  • Mark up a screenshot with Arrow, Box, Text, Numbered step, Highlight, and Blur
  • Pick from seven colors and three sizes for each mark
  • Step back with Undo and Redo, or start fresh with Clear all marks
  • Save the result as PNG, JPG, or WebP, with a Quality setting for JPG and WebP

Marks Stay Editable

Every mark stays editable until you save, so you can fix a mistake without redrawing the whole image.

  • Use Select and move to drag a mark, resize it, or move either end of an arrow
  • Double-click a text mark to change what it says
  • Numbered steps count up as you place them and renumber when you delete one
  • Switch tools from the keyboard: V, A, R, T, N, H, and B
  • Press Delete or Backspace to remove the selected mark

Limits

  • One image at a time, up to 50 MB
  • Up to 200 marks per image
  • Up to 200 characters per text mark
